We are still sad that we have to close our store... but we have to move forward! We have decided that a liquidation sale will start at both our retail store and online shop on July 16th. As you may be aware, K&T Enterprises, Inc. has experiences some difficult time lately.

Unfortunately, it has become apparent that we can no longer maintain a profitable level of business at The Surfers Pro Shop. Therefore, this location will be closed effective July 31^st, 2010.

A liquidation sale will start soon at both our retail store and online shop, sometimes after Independence Day weekend. We will make a further announcement here about the store closing sale.

Please be aware that this store closing is nothing to do with Hawaiian Pro Design; Hawaiian Pro Design has not been/will not be impacted by this closure.

For a long time, many people have wondered why we did not carry any wetsuits... It is because HPD does not make any wetsuits, and we could not find any wetsuits which meets our quality standard... but we finally have decided to carry wetsuits at our store!

We are all so stoked; we do not have to tell you, "Oh, sorry, we don't carry any wetsuits" anymore!

Selected models and sizes of Japanese quality, "Juicy Wetsuits," are available at our store. A HPD team rider and our friend, Yuko Shimajiri, has worked very closely with Juicy Wetsuits to develop high quality, progressive and stylish wetsuits. Please stop by our store and check out our quality wetsuits. A bit pricey? Come by and feel the difference! HPD team rider/shop staff, Wyatt, tells you about the difference; it is very comfortable, stretchy, warm, fast-drying, light, stylish and long-lasting (if you take care of your suits well)! If you are willing to pay a little more and want to get really really really good wetsuits, this is it!

Jensen and Schumacher Take PLA Pro Championships

OCEANSIDE, California (Sunday, November 15, 2009) – The Association of Surfing Professionals (ASP) Longboard Qualifying Series (LQS) 1-Star PLA Pro Championships saw local talent Taylor Jensen (Oceanside, CA), 25, take out the men’s division, while fellow San Diegan Cori Schumacher (Cardiff, CA), 34, clinched her second consecutive women’s ASP North America Longboard Title when she won the PLA Pro Championships presented by Gidget in the peaky two-to-three foot wind-swell on offer at South Oceanside Pier.

Yeomans Wins O'Neill Cold Water Classic California, Young Wins Oakley Pro Junior

SANTA CRUZ, California (Sunday, November 8, 2009) – The Association of Surfing Professionals (ASP) World Qualifying Series (WQS) 6-Star PRIME O’Neill Cold Water Classic California witnessed an action packed day of competition when Nathan Yeomans (San Clemente, CA), 28, claimed the event over Heath Joske (Coffs Harbour, AUS), 20, in pumping eight foot (2.5 meter) waves at Steamer Lane. Nat Young (Santa Cruz, CA), 19, won the Oakley Pro Junior ASP North America Championships and also claimed the ASP North America Pro Junior Series Title.

Tofino's Peter Devries Wins ASP WQS 6-Star O'Neill Cold Water Classic Canada

TOFINO, British Columbia (Saturday, October 31, 2009) – The inaugural Association of Surfing Professionals (ASP) World Qualifying Series (WQS) 6-Star O’Neill Cold Water Classic Canada saw a fairytale ending today when local standout Peter Devries (Tofino, BC), 26, went on an absolute rampage to claim the event over Jay Thompson (Burleigh Heads, AUS), 27, in front of his home crowd in Tofino on Vancouver Island, British Columbia.

Hawaiina Pro Designs team rider, Cori Schumacher, won the PLA Pro Championships presented by Gidget, and Jen Smith, also a Hawaiian Pro Designs team rider placed third.

For the men Taylor Jenson placed first, and Hawaiian Pro Design team rider Kai Sallas placed fith in the event and was second in the over all standings.

California Surf Festival

Don't miss out this exciting event in Oceanside, California! The second annual California Surf Festival will take place November 19th through the 22nd. The funds raised during the event will help support the California Surf Museum and its quest to document, promote and preserve the surf culture.

Some of the main attractions in the festival include ukulele master Jake Shimabukuro, book signing by Nat Young, Hawaiian photog Clark Little, several surf movies and the celebration of 50 years of Surfer Magazine.
